The Washington , D.C. Joint Plumbing Apprentice Committee is accepting applications for the Apprentice Program the first Tuesday in October, January, April and July. Applicants must apply between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon. Applications must be made in person at 8509 Ardmore-Ardwick Road , Landover , Maryland 20785 . There is a $20 application fee. Applicants must be eighteen years of age by the date of application and have either a high school diploma or high school equivalency (GED). Presentation of the following four documents is required at time of application: Birth certificate of Passport Valid Driver's License or valid State Issued Identification Card High school diploma or GED Certificate and Transcript of grades or GED test scores. (NOTE: Transcript of grades must be mailed directly from the high school or a copy bearing an original seal of the high school. If mailed from the high school, the transcript may be sent any time but must be received prior to making application.) Applicants educated outside of the United States must present verification from their embassy that their education is equivalent to a high school education received in the United States . Applicants are also required to take an aptitude test.
